All Women Count (AWC) Consortium

The AWC consortium’s key concern are Violence Against Women (VAW), in particular violence experienced by women, girls and transgender people at risk (Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender people and women and girls with disabilities). The consortium will strengthen the ability of global South-based human rights organisations to advance legal and policy responses to VAW, change harmful social norms, and build the capacity of women, girls and trans* people at risk to combat violence and advocate for their rights.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text color=”#808285″ css=”.vc_custom_1551695402951{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}”]

Count Me In (CMI) Consortium

Mama Cash, Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID), CREA, Just Associates (JASS) and Urgent Action Fund-Africa (UAF-Africa). The Consortium includes both North- and South-based members. This consortium of funders, activists, and popular educators bring the voices of women, girls and trans* people to decision- and policy-making tables where they usually are not heard. The consortium develops and strengthens the capacities of women’s rights defenders and organisations to lobby and advocate for their human rights in the areas of GBV and economic justice.

Dignity for All Consortium

The Consortium is working to (1) create an informed and skilled support group of LGBT people and rights defenders who are able to better articulate and strategise their advocacy for decriminalisation, reducing stigma and discrimination of LGBT people and to (2) provide support in strengthening the legal and emergency response systems to provide emergency support to LGBT people in terms of crisis.

The Sexual Rights Initiative

CREA is part of this global south coalition at the Human Rights Council (HRC) of the United Nations, where we solicit submissions from global south sexual rights activists and make submissions through the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism four organisations advocating for sexual rights at the UN Human Rights Council.
